Brought to life by Catherine McCormack in Dangerous Beauty (Warner Bros, 1998), Veronica was known as one of the most famous cortigiana onesta (honest courtesan) of the Italian Renaissance. As a renowned poet, Veronica wrote two volumes of poetry: Terze Rime (1575) and Lettere Familiari A Diversi (1580).
